Where are you located?

A: Our Corporate offices are located in Woodinville Washington, which is a Northeast Seattle suburb, near SeaTac International Airport.

Q:

Are your prototypes built differently from production? Do you use cheaper materials?

A: No, our prototypes use the same high quality production materials and processes as our production orders.

Q:

Do you change my Gerber files in order to build a prototype?

A: Except for minor manufacturing items, you get what you design. If there are changes needed to produce your order you will be contacted for approval before we proceed. See Engineering/CAM Hints.

Are you UL approved?

A: Yes, 94V-0

Q:

Are you MIL SPEC 55110 approved?

A: No, but you can prototype with us because our materials, specifications, and processes all conform to MIL SPEC 55110.

Are you ISO 9002 certified?

A: Yes, we acquired certification in 1999

Q:

To what acceptability standards do you build?

A: IPC-A-600 class II & III, unless otherwise specified.

Q:

What CAM software do you use?

A: We use Pentalogix to edit and view.

Q:

What happens if I have a problem?

A: We are committed to your satisfaction. So much so, that if you are not taken care of fairly, you can direct an Email message to the president of UMC Global (greg.jenkins@umcglobal.com).  Please write him if you have any ideas where we can improve.

We began operations in 1998.

Can you build RF applications?

A: Yes, we produce PCB’S on RF materials such as, Rogers 4000, Teflon, Duroid, and Polyimide.

What if I need to cancel my order?

A: Call your Sales Person immediately and follow up with a fax or email to confirm.
Orders already in process are subject to a cancellation fee. Ask your Sales Person for details.

Q:

What are your hours for doing business?

A: Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM PST (closed on weekends, and closed on all major U.S. holidays).
